Phoenix Contact is keen to participate in one of Europe’s leading trade show for the electrical automation industry, SPS IPC Drives 2018. Expected to be hosted in Nuremberg, Germany, the event heavily focuses on smart automation and manages to attract the crème of the manufacturing industry to its venue. It is at this mammoth platform that the company will be displaying a range of its latest solutions as well as product lines. For instance, the firm’s recent innovation – the compact M8 connectors is capable of supplying the smallest devices with Ethernet and Profinet. In terms of space savings, the connectors offer up to 30 % as compared to traditional M12 connectors. The symmetrically arranged contacts provide secure data transmission and field devices are supplied with power simultaneously via Power over Ethernet.

Ptfix system

The latest Ptfix system is accessible in eleven colour options and is utilised for individual potential distribution. Comprising of ready-to-connect blocks with varying numbers of positions and mounting types, along with cross sections from 1.5 – 4 sq mm in Push-in technology, the system enhances productivity. Also, with up to 18 contact points, the blocks can be combined as needed and mounted on DIN rails or direct-mounted or installed with adhesive.

Project complete software

Apart from this, Phoenix Contact’s Project complete planning and marking software proves to be a boon for designing one’s control cabinet. Via this software, it becomes extremely convenient to import electrical plans with a click of the mouse through interfaces to all popular CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) programmes. Taking digital interface to the next level in control cabinet manufacturing, the software automates the process while designing the terminal strip and creating suitable marking. Post this process, one can directly order their assembled products on line.

Ethernet patch panels

The firm also offers easy to install Ethernet patch panels which provide greater flexibility and also leads to time savings during its set up. Available in versions with surge protection and Power over Ethernet, one can select the panels between IDC, Push-in, screw, and RJ45 connections.

Bluemark ID Colour

Users can also benefit from the company’s recent Bluemark ID generation solution for industrial identification. The all-in-one solution makes use of sustainable UV LED technology and can process over 1,350 different marking materials. Capable of marking in colour, the Bluemark ID Colour is also equipped with a touch display that makes printer operations intuitive.

In addition to these innovations, the company also offers efficient network solutions for factories of the future. Do visit Phoenix Contact’s stand in Hall 9 and Booth 310 at the SPS IPC Drives show to gain insights about the firm’s latest solutions.
