Busch Vakuumpumpen’s fair presence is entirely under the banner of Industry 4.0. Among the exhibits is a new rotary vane pump.
Flexible pumps for different processes
Fundamentally, the R 5 Plus can be operated in two different modes. Direct on the display, an intuitive menu system allows switching between operation with constant rotational speed and pressure regulation. This enables the maintenance of either a specified pumping speed or of a particular final pressure with variable pumping speed.
The possibilities for effective vacuum pump operation will be shown by Busch on the Mink MV Synchro dry claw vacuum. Likewise equipped with a variable drive as standard, it enables selection of precisely the power actually needed.
To match the Mink MV precisely to different processes, a hand operating device, a parameterisation kit or a fieldbus module are available. With the hand operating device, not only can the motor speed be adjusted flexibly, but many other frequency converter functions can be called up or controlled. The vacuum pump can be operated with a computer with the help of the parameterisation kit. Fieldbus modules are available for integrating the device into a process control system.
Smart application allows direct access to devices
With the Vacuum App, Busch is exhibiting a further new development. It enables customers to register their installed vacuum pumps using a QR code. They then have access to all technical information directly on their devices. “The relevant maintenance sets can be ordered simply and quickly using the app,” the firm tells us. “In addition, the nearest Busch service centre is indicated and contact data supplied.”
