Event preview UK: Full speakers line-up at Additive International conference
Additive International, the event that brings together academic and industry experts to share their knowledge and ideas in all in the newest technological developments for the AM (Additive manufacturing) industry, has recently announced its speakers line-up.

The two-day event Additive International to be held in Nottingham on 11-12 July 2018 and a pre-conference day on 10 July will include a mix of additive experts, researchers, entrepreneurs and practitioners from across academia and industry.
Well-known for its speakers’ in-depth exploration of new developments, research and applications in AM across business and industry, the conference this year will feature a wide range of topics: from using silicone inks to print life-like organ models and on-body printing to developing ultra-stiff, lightweight mechanical meta-materials; accelerating the development of AM standards; printing in-orbit satellite parts; serial part production in aerospace and using innovation to tackle post-processing issues.

“Additive International is really more of a summit than a conference. We pride ourselves on achieving a balance between industry and academia – presenting the very latest real world AM applications alongside exciting new developments from research labs across the globe,” said conference chair, Prof Richard Hague. Hague added that issues and obstacles that AM presents are also addressed head-on here.
The conference, previously known as the International Conference on Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing, was launched in 2006 and has for the first time selected a charity partner: The organisation Field Ready uses local materials and manufacturing methods to develop life-saving supplies and equipment in the field, providing essential aid to reach areas stricken by disaster, conflict and extreme poverty.
More than 30 organisations will be exhibiting alongside the conference venue.
On the pre-conference day, Business Innovation in AM, will kick off the summit with presentations from 33 of Innovate UK-funded AM project teams exploring business applications of AM in seven categories.
The main conference will feature 19 speakers from across the industry.
