Quick reactions times are decisive when bringing individuality and speed to production is the goal. With its technologies, Stäubli shows how flexible production systems can already become reality today. The firm also offers reliable solutions in its business area Fluid Connectors. Centre-stage at the Hannover Messe are tool-changing systems for robots, which in the meantime cover all payloads. In particular, the light and compact variants of the tool changers help mobile production systems like Helmo to tackle a broad spectrum of tasks, we hear. “For years now, we have been working with WFT, a firm specialising in mobile systems in production. In order to meet the standards in the sector, our connector systems stand for reliable functions, compact construction and high safety standards,” says Norbert Ermer, general manager Stäubli Fluid Connectors in Bayreuth. “Our smaller products in particular are distinguished by a weight-optimised design which saves users from having to invest in robots of the next higher payload class.” To guarantee maximum functional security, Stäubli develops and produces the changers itself, the only firm in the world to do so.
