Tetra Pak has acquired Laude, a market leader in the design, development, and manufacture of plastic moulds used in hard and semi-hard cheese production.

The acquisition will strengthen the company’s position as the world’s leading provider of complete solutions for cheese manufacturing, and will extend the availability of Laude products in the global market.
Laude was established in 1962. Based in Ter Apel, the Netherlands, with 38 employees the company is at the forefront of cheese mould design and supply, offering exceptional performance and durability, coupled with superior hygiene and cleanability standards.
Both Companies see an opportunity
Tim High, Executive VP Processing Systems at Tetra Pak commented, “Laude has established a reputation for providing very high quality moulds and service to the cheese industry. We are delighted to add Laude products to our already comprehensive portfolio, and offer even more competitive cheese lines with guaranteed performance.”
Auke Rienks, Managing Director of Laude said, “Our customers will continue to get market leading products and services from Laude. We see an exciting opportunity for international growth through Tetra Pak channels, particularly outside of Europe, where our focus has been in the past.”
Laude will form part of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems. It will remain in its current location and will continue under the leadership of Auke Rienks and his existing management team.
