The theme for the event was ‘Activating Intelligent Manufacturing – Heading towards Industry 4.0’ which is consistent with the world trend. The Taiwan Government has collected all the related information from every industry to challenge the efficiency enhancement segment, which is one of the main aspects of Industry 4.0

In August 2016, four major industrial organisations signed the memorandum ‘Inter-industry Cooperation League Comprising.’ The memorandum states that all the four should work together closely to help the Taiwan machine tools industry incorporate the existent consumer IC technology and know-how and transfer it to the industrial sensor applications. At TMTS 2016, the above mentioned areas of Industry 4.0, together with the display items, was integrated. Potential buyers and visitors were able to see the real-time application demonstrated by Taiwanese suppliers.
