SPS IPC Drives 2018: Product innovations at a glance

At SPS IPC Drives 2018, Siemens will present industry-specific applications and future technologies for the digital transformation of the manufacturing and process industries. The over 4,000 square meter stand will focus on new products, solutions and services from the Digital Enterprise portfolio, which enables the fusion of the real and virtual worlds. The implementation of the Digital Enterprise in mechanical engineering is demonstrated by a machine for quality inspection of bottles. With the Digital Enterprise, industrial software and automation are seamlessly integrated - with a common data model. This holistic approach is demonstrated along the entire value chain from the point of view of a mechanical engineering company: from the machine concept and simulation to engineering, commissioning, operation and services. Siemens will also present new features of its cloud-based, open IoT operating system MindSphere - from visualization and data analysis to edge computing functions. The MindSphere Lounge will also showcase the wide range of applications for the IoT operating system, which can for example be used to increase efficiency and productivity.
