Hannover Messe 2019 Solutions for predictive maintenance: easy integration
Editor: Theresa Knell
As a solution partner for Smart Manufacturing, Mitsubishi Electric is showing applications for engineering, manufacturing and maintenance, with a central role given to special solutions for predictive maintenance.
For value conservation and cost saving using predictive maintenance, Mitsubishi Electric has developed the GOT Drive function for machine diagnosis.

The new function solution Melfa Smartplus for all robots of the FR series is an integration-capable add-in card for highly specialised, intelligent functions, including predictive maintenance. It enables parameters from the servomotors to be called up directly on the CR800 controller and analysed for first signs of damage or wear. Corresponding service recommendations are displayed in plain text to enable optimised maintenance as required.
For value conservation and cost saving using predictive maintenance, Mitsubishi Electric has furthermore developed the GOT Drive function for machine diagnosis. GOT Drive + Frequency Converter compares frequency and torque patterns with a reference area and displays the maintenance requirements directly on the operating device. GOT Drive + Servo records friction and vibration readings, compares them with the user-defined values, and indicates any maintenance or cleaning required. Mobile access is available with both functions.
Further highlights are a robot with an antistatic construction for electronics production and a high-speed delta robot with Mitsubishi Electric controls. In addition, vision applications realised with partners are on show.
