Six innovative solutions showcased at IMTEX 2019
BMV 65+ VMC
BFW launched the BMV 65+ VMC machine at the Indian machine tool show. The indigenous composite cast iron technology (iCTech) is developed and implemented to improve the vibration dampening of machines along with a multi-physics simulation driven platform to design intelligent machine tool sub-systems.
This results in higher productivity. In addition to this, the iRTC (Intelligent Real-time Thermal Control) application developed and deployed through the company’s Industry 4.0 offering – IRIS offers a real-time model-based on reduction, control, and compensation of thermal errors.
Colour 3D Printer
HP introduced its new Jet Fusion 300/500 series of 3D printers which is claimed to be the industry’s first low-cost full-colour 3D platform. The technology is expected to enable manufacturers to produce engineering-grade, functional parts in full colour, black or white. The 3D printer proves beneficial for small- to medium-sized product development teams and design businesses, entrepreneurs, and universities and research institutions.
With a compact design and enhanced workflow solution, the printer offers greater unattended operation, ease of use, and dramatically increases production efficiency and output. The 3D printer also supports the three leading colour file formats (OBJ, VRML, and 3MF) enabling the world’s designers to reliably and easily produce the parts they want without the inconvenience of file conversion or data corruption.
Apart from these, there were many more innovations that focused on offering enhanced efficiency, Industry 4.0 compliant solutions and better productivity. With record number of visitors attending the trade fair, this year’s show was a huge success.
