Market sense Quality does matter at METAV 2018
The ‘Quality Area’ at METAV 2018 will offer its customers an overview of the entire bandwidth of measuring and testing technology, as well as QM (Quality Management) and analysis systems.
Products are often judged on their quality. Branded products are always more expensive than the average ones but people still opt for costly products owing to their high quality which helps it to achieve a longer life. When it comes to the industrial manufacturing field, the term ‘Quality’ becomes all the more important. A company’s sustainability in the market is highly dependent on the quality of products it produces or supplies. Manufacturers have to maintain consistency in the overall quality process in order to achieve high results. This includes measurement, analysis of the data, process control and quality control. All these segments play a crucial role especially in today’s digital age. For instance, measuring and testing technologies act as strong and supportive pillars without which smart and big data concepts cannot be implemented. Digitalisation on the other hand has enabled the industry to produce high quality products on a consistent basis.
Quality Area at METAV 2018
The ‘Quality’ concept is simple yet plays a vital role in the manufacturing space. Hence, it is not surprising that the International exhibition for metalworking technologies – METAV 2018 has established the ‘Quality Area’ as one of its four core focus areas. The other three are ‘Moulding Area,’ ‘Additive Manufacturing Area’ and ‘Medical Area.’ Scheduled to be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany from February 20–24, 2018, the show focuses on core topics such as machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated material flow, computer technology, industrial electronics, parts and accessories, etc. The Quality Area will offer its customers with an overview of the entire bandwidth of measuring and testing technology, as well as QM and analysis systems.
Partners of the Quality Area
The DGQ and the DQS (German Association for Quality and German Society for Certification of Management Systems) are METAV’s partners for this segment and will be offering a workshop on quality management at the expo. The other partners for the Quality Area are the Measuring and Testing Technology Association (VDMA) and the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of RWTH Aachen University.
Numerous companies will be benefitted by the expertise that will be demonstrated at the Quality Area. As Industry 4.0 is trending across the global manufacturing sector, a core element such as quality becomes all the more important to stay ahead of one’s competitors.
Like they say, quality over quantity is always a good place to be in!
