Plastpol Poland: Leading plastics show celebrates 20th anniversary
Poland - The leading trade fair for the Central and Eastern European plastics industry, Plastpol, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. From 17 to 20 May 2016, business professionals from various sectors of the plastics and rubber processing industry will gather in Kielce, Poland, to view the latest innovations.
Demand for plastics is on the rise in Poland, so the prospects for the 20th Plastpol look promising. The international fair of plastics and rubber processing will take place from 17 to 20 May 2016 in Kielce in the heart of Poland. Plastpol is the leading trade fair for the plastics industry in the CEE region.
In its anniversary year, the fair anticipates another slight increase in exhibitor numbers, with more than 800 exhibitors from 30 countries expected to showcase their products on the 30,000 m² exhibition area. The fair is a strictly B2B event and attended by more than 18,000 industry representatives as well as the trade press, specialist publishers and industry-related institutions.

It showcases new and further developments as well as trends in plastics and rubber processing. The majority of the facilities and equipment on display will be presented in operating condition. New moulds and other equipment for plastics processing are another area of focus at the fair. Traditionally, a variety of product groups relating to industrial design, packaging, patterning, and recycling will be presented.
The three-day event will be accompanied by a conference and seminar program dealing with current developments and challenges faced by the industry. The fair is once again organising a competition for its exhibitors, with prizes including free participation at the next Plastpol.
According to Kazimierz Borkowski, director of Plastics Europe Polska (the Association of Plastics Manufacturers in Europe), Plastpol is “a good indicator for current opportunities and challenges of the Polish industry.” In terms of numbers, the Polish industry has been performing very well for a long time now, he said.
