“The collection and seamless processing of process data is the foundation for problem-free production sequences in the digital factory,” says Marc Steinhaus, in charge of business development at Steinhaus Informationssysteme. “Standards such as OPC UA play a decisive role here, because they improve data flow along the process chain and enable faster use of data.” A service-oriented architecture in process data collection is said to open up new potential for raised efficiency in production.
This firm from Datteln presents Tebis, its optimised data management system, now expanded by Tebis-DA. This module enables straightforward collection of OPC UA data without the help of third-party software. Data can be retrieved from the OPC UA servers in the source system and saved in Tebis. Tebis itself can function as an OPC UA server and thus make the data available for additional applications.
At the Steinhaus fair booth, visitors furthermore have the opportunity of experiencing data management with Tebis in action in a live demonstration. Using practice-related examples, the numerous functions integrated in the system are presented.
