The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe has just been launched by the organisers of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRS). Winners will be announced on the second day of the two-day PRS, which will take place on 24-25 April 2018 in RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The awards will be presented in five categories; Recycled Plastic Consumer Lifestyle Product of the Year, Best Building & Construction Product, Best Recycled Plastic Packaging Product, Best Technology Innovation in Plastics Recycling and Plastics Recycling Ambassador of the Year and is open to everyone in Europe involved in the recycling of plastic materials, organisers Crain Communications and Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE), said.
Details to the awards are available here.
PRS President Ton Emans noted: ’’Recycled products and recycling need a special focus and the recognition of the industry and the consumers, and the Awards are the perfect tool to achieve this. We need to highlight the real value of recyclates, their contribution towards resources and CO2 savings and their important role within the Circular Economy model.”
Among the judges on the awards panel is Cyril Gutsch, founder of the campaigning organisation Parley for the Oceans. Gutsch was recently named the 2017 Environmentalist of the Year by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association.
PRS is a pan-European, free-to-attend exhibition and a conference designed specifically for plastics recycling professionals, many of whom are from plastics recycling machinery and equipment suppliers, plastic material suppliers and compounders, pre-processors, plastics recyclers, waste management specialists and industry associations.
The conference programme includes a wide range of the latest industry themes including plastics recycling technology and innovation, materials, the regulatory background and the dynamic economics of plastics recycling.
Entries, to be submitted by 22 December 2017, can already be submitted online at PRS Awards.
