Event preview Moulding expo is here!

Moulding Expo will be held from May 21 – 24, 2019 in Germany and will showcase the latest solutions as well as discuss the current trends in the market for the tool, pattern and mould making industry. Visitors can also attend the diverse accompanying programmes and interesting parallel events that will be hosted at the exhibition.

Moulding Expo is one of the most popular international trade fairs for tool, pattern and mould making in Europe. The four day event is expected to be held in Stuttgart, Germany and will be attracting the who’s who of the industry. Organised by Messe Stuttgart, the specialised show is hosted every two years and acts as a platform for industry players to witness innovative solutions and discuss potential business deals.

At this year’s Moulding Expo, around 700 exhibitors will be participating at the event. It is interesting to note that the proportion of international exhibitors for this year has also increased by 5 %, thus escalating the percentage to 36. This space is dominated by companies from Portugal, Italy and Turkey.

The event will showcase numerous innovations such as software; components and accessories; machine tools,cutting tools, measuring technology and special machines; and contract manufacturing and services for tool, pattern and mould making; along with systems for additive manufacturing.

Accompanying programmes

In addition to the display, Moulding Expo will also hold various accompanying programmes which industry visitors can benefit from. For instance, the special show on ‘mould making today and tomorrow’ will be organised by VDWF and verlag moderne industrie (vmi) at their respective exhibition spaces.

In this zone, visitors to the VDWF booth will witness the most recent techniques in tool making such as process-safe injection moulding with the aid of intelligent mould monitoring, the live production of one’s own give-away and an MES system with software to touch and click. Similarly at the vmi booth, visitors can update themselves on current research projects in tool and mould making.

There are many other accompanying programmes that will be held at the event including a future forum on tool and mould making which will focus on the trends and development of the industry, a VDMA special show titled ‘Metal Working innovative (MBi)’ which will update visitors about the significance of innovative cutting tools, chucking tools and standard parts for competitive tool making, and many more interesting sessions.

Parallel events

Moulding Expo will also be organising five parallel events – Automotive shows, plastic products forum, additive production technologies, 6th hybrid lightweight construction technology day, and practical forum for mould making and injection moulding technology.
