Spotlight Motek’s ‘Arena of Intergration’

At this year’s Motek trade fair, visitors from the industry can have a look at the main highlight of the event – the ‘Arena of Intergration’ theme park which plans to showcase modern manufacturing processes in today’s ‘automation and digital’ environment. Expected to be spread across an area of more than 60,000 sq m in Stuttgart, Germany, the international exhibition on automation in production and assembly, Motek is likely to begin from October 7, 2019. The show is claimed to be the only trade fair to clearly focus on all aspects of mechanical engineering and automation as well as on the presentation of entire process chains. The four day Motek event is anticipated to attract numerous manufacturers as well as distributers from across the globe. This year marks the 38th edition of the show and the core highlight of Motek 2019 is the ‘Arena of Intergration’ (AoI) theme park.

Situated right in the middle of Hall 6, the theme park will comprise of a consortia of companies that will exhibit networked and ready-to-use use cases of intelligent production. The AoI park intends to act as a platform for collaborating companies to showcase modern manufacturing processes in today’s ‘automation and digital’ environment. The organisers of the show, P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG have revealed that well-known firms from the industry such as Pilz, Phoenix Contact, FPT, Balluff, Adiro and many more will be seen participating at the AoI theme park.

With the ‘Arena of Integration’ park, the show aims to demonstrate that comprehensive integration of systems, processes and components is already an exploitable reality in routine daily industrial practice. By visiting the theme park, industry players will be able to get a sense of how processes should be set up in an environment dominated by digitalisation. These simple measures will also help them to become economically efficient and competitive in the global industry. Technical discussions with the who’s who of the industry will also be encouraged in this segment.
