Founded in 1935 and headquartered in Japan Matsuura is identified for producing high quality machining centers for the manufacturing industry. With a presence in numerous countries around the globe, the firm has created a significant goodwill along the way. To meet the growing demands of the industry, Matsuura has again introduced new innovative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency at the shop floor.

This time is no different; the firm is all geared up to exhibit its latest technologies at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2018 that is scheduled to be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place in the USA from September 10-15, 2018.

It is at this show that the company intends to unveil its latest innovation – the Matsuura MAM72 Machining Center. Apart from this, seven other unique and sophisticated machines will be displayed at the show including the new MX-330 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center with 10 pallets and 90 tools, the new MX-520 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center with 4 pallets and 90 tools, the Matsuura Lumex Avance-25 Metal Laser Sintering & Hybrid Manufacturing Machine, the VX-660 Vertical Machining Center, the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center with PC12, the MAM72-35V 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center with PC32 and the LF-160 Linear Motor Machine with Robot Cell.

The MX-330 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center

The compact machining center is cost effective and offers superior 5 axis production. Claimed to be the sole entry level 5-axis machine with a 10 pallet changer, the machine proves useful for high precision industries such as medical and aerospace. The MX-330 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center is capable of easily moving from 3-Axis to 5-axis production. Equipped with a high accuracy spindle of 15,000 RPM with 48 ft-lbs. of torque, the vertical machining center ensures high-rigidity with a table loading capacity of 177 lbs.

Matsuura Lumex Avance-25

Matsuura will be displaying its hybrid manufacturing machine, the Lumex Avance-25 for the maiden time at the expo. It combines selective laser sintering (SLS) along with high speed milling (HSM) for hybrid additive manufacturing. With the assistance of this machine, complex moulds and parts can be created by fusing the metal laser sintering technology with high speed milling technology.

The VX-660 Vertical Machining Center

The 3-axis VX-660 Vertical Machining Center is a cost-effective and heavy-duty solution that incorporates high-speed, high-precision and high-accuracy within a compact footprint. Equipped with a high-performance and high-rigidity BT40/15K spindle, the vertical machining center can machine a range of materials such as aluminum, cast iron, titanium, etc.

H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center

Offering highly productive machine tools with high speed, high rigidity and high precision, the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center can be used across the aircraft, automobile and medical industries. The machine is equipped with a #40 taper spindle, 400×400 mm pallet and standard 15,000 RPM spindle. A high-speed direct drive rotary table is an option on the H.Plus-400.

The MAM72-35V 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center

The MAM72-35V 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center comprises a PC32 tower, 320 tools, 20,000 RPM spindle along with a tailstock. Ideal for machining small to very large products, the vertical machining center offers long periods of unmanned productivity. The machine also features high-accuracy complex five-axis machining with one-chucking to meet the need for cost-effective unmanned operation.

LF-160 Linear Motor Machine with Robot Cell

Produced especially for ultra-precision machining dies, molds and optical parts with a focus on small work piece processing and unmanned operation, the LF-160 Linear Motor Machine is combined with a robotic system that ensures high-speed, high-precision and high-accuracy. The LF-160’s spindle with ultimately minimized dynamic runout and high resolution achieves high-speed and high-precision.

Matsuura is expected to attract the attention of industry players by displaying its numerous innovations!
