According to the "China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Sales Monthly Report," national sales of internal combustion engines rose significantly in September and were essentially on a par with the same month of the previous year. The gasoline engine grew by more than 20% compared with the same period of the previous year. Cumulative sales from January to September continued to show a negative growth trend. The effects of trade barriers are continuing and the risks of the economic downturn in the industry remain. Due to the strong risk limitation capability and the high proportion of large industrial companies, the overall economic performance of the industry remains essentially stable.

In September, the sales volume of internal combustion engine was 4.2145 million with a month-on-month 13.03 % increase and a year-on-year 0.50 % increase. The power reached 215.774 million kW with a month-on-month 16.99 % increase and a year-on-year 1.99 % increase.

From January to September, the cumulative sales volume of internal combustion engine was 34.0023 million with year-on-year 12.67 % decrease. The accumulated power reached 1713.4153 million kW with year-on-year 10.49 % decrease.

Analyze by fuel type

In September, in the diesel and gasoline categories, diesel engine and gasoline engine fast increased month by month. Compared with the same period of last year, the diesel engine increased slightly and the gasoline engine was basically flat. Specifically, compared with the previous month, the diesel engine increased 22.39 % and gasoline engine increased 11.98 %. Compared with the same period last year, the diesel engine increased 5.48 % and gasoline engine decreased 0.10 %. In September, 446,600 units of diesel and 3,766,400 units of gasoline have been sold.

From January to September, diesel engine total sales volume was 3.9612 million with 1.53 % year on year decrease and gasoline engine sales volume was 30.0259 million units with 13.99 % year-on-year decrease.

Analyze by usage

In September, in the sub-market of main internal combustion engine, compared with last month, except for the month-on-month decrease of generator set, garden machinery and general machine, the other usage engines all showed different degrees of growth, with the growth range about 6.8 % ~ 31.3 %. Specifically, the month-on-month growth rate of commercial vehicle use was 31.26 %, of agricultural machinery use and construction machinery use was 26.68 %～29.16 %, of passenger vehicle use was 2.59 % and of motorcycle use and marine use was 6.82 %～10.25 %; the month-on-month decline rate of garden machinery general machine use was 4.06 %～10.07 % and of generator set use was 29.55 %.

From January to September, the accumulative sales volume of all usage category except marine and commercial vehicles all decreased compared with last year. Specifically, the year-on-year growth rate of Marine use was 5.21% and of commercial vehicles was 0.27%; the year-on-year decline rate of construction machinery, agricultural machinery and motorcycle use was 3.27%～9.70% and the largest year-on-year decline was 32.62% on generator unit.
