Lamiera 2017 Italy: Two Months before the Debut of Lamiera in Milan
Two months before its debut in Milan, Lamiera, the international biennial exhibition dedicated to the metal forming machine tool industry and to all innovative technologies related to the sector, is (almost) fully-booked. Actually, 440 companies have already applied to exhibit at the event, which will be held at fieramilano Rho, from 17 to 20 May, in the halls 13 and 15.

Over the 40,000 square metres of total exhibition area, the best international offering will be shown with regard to sheet metal forming machinery, bar-, tube-, section-working machines, presses, blanking and punching machines, laser, robots, automation, moulds and dies, heat treatments, surface treatment and finishing, wires and metal carpentry, subcontracting.
A more detailed analysis of attending exhibitors highlights that the core of the trade show will be represented by sheet metal forming and cutting machines, laser cutting and welding. In particular, the number of exhibitors manufacturing presses, robots and components has doubled compared with the last edition.

Sheet Metal Forming
Italy: Lamiera Heads to a Record Number of Exhibitors
The new themed areas, focused on products and solutions related to metal forming technologies will complement the exhibition, promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE and organised by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU.
Italy plays a primary role
There are already over 30 companies taking part in the new Fastener Industry area, dedicated to screws, bolts, fastening and clamping systems; more than 20 are the enterprises exhibiting within Ecocoatech, - an area created in cooperation with ANVER, Italian Association of Industrial Coaters - presenting all the most innovative inter-operational processes for sheet metal coating and painting. Blech Italy Service, centred on technical subcontracting and services for the industry, will complete Lamiera's comprehensive offering.
The number of exhibitors achieved by Lamiera to date proves that the choice to move the exhibition venue to Milan, scheduling it in the odd years, has been well-accepted by the exhibitors that have actually decided to present their product offering in Italy for the second consecutive year.
“On the other hand - stated Massimo Carboniero, President of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE - Italy plays a primary role in the international rankings of the sector. Third among manufacturers, second among exporters and fourth in the ranking of consumers, our country can rely on leading enterprises that specialise in sheet metal forming and machining. In addition, Italy can also count on a lively, dynamic demand”.
