With the introduction of the ‘shared stand’, METAV 2018 ensures that the new and upcoming companies will be able to generate ample of international customer contacts and potential business leads.
In addition to core topics like machine tools, manufacturing systems or computer technology, METAV 2018 will also have a dedicated ‘shared stand’ for start-ups which will enable new and upcoming companies to showcase their products and innovative processes to potential customers visiting the exhibition. For this purpose, METAV 2018 has joined hands with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). As the stand will include numerous innovative aspects, it has been titled ‘Innovations Made in Germany.’ The core objective behind the ‘shared stand’ concept is to provide support to innovative German companies and at the same time promote exports. BMWi invests about 2.5 million euros each year in this programme.
One of the biggest plus points for first-time participants at the BMWi’s share stand is that 60 per cent of the stand rental and stand erection costs will be paid by the organizers. In order to benefit from this discount, there is a set of preconditions which one must follow for participating in the BMWi’s shared stand such as the new company must have legal autonomy, should be younger than ten years, have a balance sheet total of 10 million euros (at the maximum), comprise a range of new products and process-engineering innovations, or the improvement of products, processes and services.
The addition of the stand will bring about multiple business opportunities for start-ups at METAV 2018 and also assist them to network with the right target audience.
