International Series Gulf countries benefit with wide range of trade fairs
The history of the smaller countries in the Persian Gulf as trade centres also reflects in a great variety of trade fairs. Industrial enterprises find a number of events here with interesting areas of focus.
Two major trade fairs from Germany have already joined forces for the metal industry. The trade fair organising companies Düsseldorf and Essen along with Al Fajer Information & Services stand behind the parallel events of Metal Middle East, Tube Arabia and Arabia Essen Welding & Cutting since the first combined focus from 10th to 13th January 2015.
German technology-leading trade fairs serve as role models
The three events are said to take place once again combined in January 2017 in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates, whereby the exact date is not yet fixed according to the information by Messe Düsseldorf. The three trade fairs follow their German role models: At the Tube Arabia everything focuses on tubes, right from the raw materials to new and second-hand machines for manufacturing tubes, process technology, tools, measurement technology, control technology, test engineering up to tube trading. At the Arabia Essen Welding & Cutting, the name says it all: Machines and equipment for cutting, joining, surface treatment, thermal spraying, heat treatment, CAD/CAM-systems, consumables for welding, work and safety equipment, quality assurance, measurement technology and test engineering as well as industrial services are on display.
The four trade fairs of Düsseldorf- Gifa, Metec, Thermoprocess and Newcast are ideal for the current orientation of the Metal Middle East, which cover the areas of metallurgy, thermo-process technology, foundry machinery and equipment, semi-finished and finished products as well as metalworking, industrial machinery and tools.
According to the event organiser, in January 2015, total 176 exhibitors from 21 countries took part in the fifth Tube Arabia, the second Arabia Essen Welding & Cutting and the recently acquired Metal Middle East. Together they could attract 3541 industry visitors.

Wide range of trade fairs for energy issues
The energy issue is taking a particular focus in the exhibitions and conferences in the Persian Gulf. That is not surprising with respect to the rich oil and gas reserves, but also the rapidly growing demand for electricity. The scope of the events ranges from the oil extraction with Adipec – International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi (UAE) to the gas extraction with DNGCE (previously Dioge) – Doha International Gas Exhibition up to further processing with the Middle East Petrotech (MEP) – Refining & Petrochemicals Conference & Exhibition in Manama (Bahrain). When it comes to electricity, the conventional production with GCC Power – The GCC Cigre Conference & Exhibition for Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution in Doha as well as the renewable energies with Solar Middle East in Dubai or the WFES – World Future Energy Summit + Exhibition in Abu Dhabi are to be found again. Apart from this, Ecowaste in Abu Dhabi or Wetex – Water, Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition in Dubai are the trade fairs focussing on the environment issues.
