Intec and Z 2017 Germany: Intec and Z strengthen their position and report an increase in visitors in attendance
Leipzig’s Intec and Z close their doors again while posting an increase in visitors: 24,200 visitors from 35 countries (2015: 23,500 visitors from 35 countries) came from March 7 to 10 to the Leipziger Messe. During this year’s iteration of the trade fair combination, 1,382 exhibitors from 30 countries (2015: 1,433 exhibitors from 33 countries) were on hand to present their range of products and services relating to metal processing and supply industry. Both exhibitors and visitors were very satisfied with the Intec and Z 2017.
Intec offered as platform for the metal processing sector both internationally active companies and small to medium-sized enterprises an attractive and efficient marketplace for good business transactions. The Z - Subcontracting was once again the competent partner for the industry when it comes to specializing in innovative and flexible supply services.
As a result, Leipzig was a worthy venue for the key inaugural get-together of the metal processing and supply industry. “This year’s iteration of the trade fair combination was a complete success. Intec and Z made gains again in terms of visitors. This illustrates the attractiveness and great appeal of both trade fairs,” says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe, while adding: “Our trade fair combination impressively consolidated its strong position among Europe’s leading industry trade fairs with their outstanding results. Innovative, competent and international – that is how the trade fairs Intec and Z 2017 presented themselves.“
Exhibitors praise the high number of visitors and quality of contacts made
The exhibitors confirm with this assessment as well. “At this year’s Intec we managed to post a record turnover. We sold three machines with a total value of 2.6 million Euros. Even the number of visitors at our stand had doubled compared to 2015. We registered outstanding new inquiries of very high quality. We are extremely satisfied with our participation and will definitely be back in two years,” reports Andreas Lindner, Managing Partner of BIMATEC SORALUCE.
The Intec 2017 also hosted a number of new exhibitors from Germany and abroad. That included, among others, HWACHEON Machinery Europe GmbH. “We were on hand for the first time with our own stand. We are very satisfied, especially due to the fact that we were positively surprised by the number of visitors. Visitors came to us with specific inquiries, which makes us optimistic about good follow-up business,” explains Jaeho Cho, a manager located at the European headquarters of the Korean machine tool manufacturer.
That said, the Z also boasted international exhibitors who celebrated their premiere in Leipzig. For instance, Rolf Hellqvist, Managing Director of the Swedish Got Springs AB summarized his company’s debut as an exhibitor at the Z, saying: “Two years ago, I attended the Z as a visitor. That convinced me to come this year and exhibit. By the way, this was also the first time that the company has participated in a trade fair outside of Sweden. Leipzig is conveniently located for accessing the markets in Poland and Czech Republic. We are very impressed with the trade fair.”
Trade fairs highlight their national and international importance
Many visitors travelled a significant distance to participate in and gather information at the Intec and Z. The fact that specialists and professionals from all over Germany come to attend the trade fairs is proof of their nationwide appeal. That is exactly how Andreas Vollmer, a member of the executive board at Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn GmbH, sees it: “We were very impressed by the Intec 2017. We noted a very high number of visitors at our trade fair stand – a significant increase compared to the last iteration of the Intec. Besides, the Intec’s catchment area has become larger in our opinion. The trade fair is getting better with each iteration. It would be a mistake not to participate in the Intec.”
The Intec and Z have once again proven its high level of internationality. According to Project Director Kersten Bunke: “We welcomed visitors from many different countries. We have reached, in particular, the Czech and Polish markets again. In addition, the professional quality of the discussions and the range of topics covered in the program of supporting events deserve special emphasis. We were pleased about the resounding success of the Intec and Z.”
