Exhibitions Germany: Euromold moves to Munich

Euromold 2016 will take place at the Munich Exhibition Centre from 25 - 27 October 2016, co-located with Airtec 2016. According to organiser Demat, the move comes after requests from industry representatives to move the show to the Bavarian capital.

After the trade show for product development, mould, pattern and toolmaking moved from Frankfurt to Düsseldorf last year, organiser Demat plans yet another move. Munich is apparently the place to be now, because "like no other European region, Bavaria aims for future, innovation, industry, technology and science, and the Bavarian government sets various strong directions in order to guarantee the economic prosperity on the top level of the world economies of the following decades," Demat explained.

Synergy of two exhibitions

While Euromold 2014 in Frankfurt reportedly attracted around 1000 exhibitors, the last edition in Düsseldorf only managed to attract 450 exhibitors. Now co-located with Demat's international aerospace supply fair Airtec, Demat expects up to 600 exhibitors for both shows. Last year, 400 exhibitors were showcasing their products and innovations at Airtec, so it seems Euromold expects even less exhibitors than in 2015.

"The synergy of the two exhibitions is [...] a main reason for the decision to move Euromold 2016 to Munich. As a world meeting-place for 3D-printing and additive manufacturing, the close links to the aerospace industry are more than evident," Demat said.

Euromold 2016 will be held from 25 - 27 October 2016, clashing with the world's major plastics event, the K-show in Düsseldorf, as well as Euroblech in Hanover, Germany.
