Best of Industry Germany: Award-winning - Top Performance of the Industry

The leading industry magazine “MM MaschinenMarkt” honored the prominent innovations from the industry with the “Best of Industry Award” for the second time.

The prize was awarded to the best of the industry in a ceremonious gala at the Vogel Convention Center in Wuerzburg as only those organizations made it to the short-list for the award, who had already won an Industry-Award before or were nominated for the same or whose innovations found the greatest reader's interest on

„Collecting top performances: this takes place in „Best of Industry Award“ in the course of a month long screening process. Our team does a research on important product-awards around the world. Important reader voting

The winners of the "Best of Industry Award 2017" were determined with the help of a valuation procedure, which consisted of the results of an online reader survey on as well as an expert jury. The judges, who are experts from industry and research along with the MM editorial team evaluated the nominees based on the criteria of technical innovation as well as benefits for the industry, environment and society. The result of the jury counted 40%, the larger part, i.e. 60% came from the reader voting. Almost 11,000 votes were cast in just a few weeks.

The winners were honored in eight categories on the evening of 16 February. Here are the winners by category in alphabetical order. The result of the evalua-tion in percent is given in brackets:

Category "Additive Manufacturing"

Autodesk (Munich) - Project Dreamcatcher. CAD software plays a more active and participatory role in design today. The project Dreamcatcher turns designers into real decision-makers. (34.62%)
