formnext 2017 plans expansion to additional hall to accommodate increased exhibitor interest
Reservations for this year’s formnext powered by tct exhibition had early clearly surpassed the already high level received by the same time in 2016. “Our current registration rate shows that formnext 2017 will be significantly larger in terms of both space and exhibitors,” affirms Sascha F. Wenzler, Head of Division for formnext at event organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “As a result, we’re planning to expand from hall level 3.1 into level 3.0.”
Further areas set for expansion along the process chain
Meanwhile, formnext 2017 will be expanding its portfolio to include additional areas of the process chain, such as software, basic materials, pre- and post-processing, and quality assurance. Along with international market leaders like BASF, Böhler, Faro, GOM, Heraeus, Machineworks, Nikon, Oerlikon, Siemens and Zeiss, an array of other highly specialized companies will be showing off their innovative solutions for intelligent production. The ideal use of additive technologies in prototypes as well as tooling and molding are presented among others by Kegelmann, Hofmann Werkzeugbau, Fraunhofer IPT and Schülken Form.

formnext powered by tct 2016 welcomed an impressive 13,000 visitors with over 600 conference tickets sold across the four days last November. The significant 49% increase on attendance from the 2015 event and the high level of attendee and speaker satisfaction has positioned the exhibition as a leading international event in Additive Manufacturing and intelligent industrial production. Due to the rapid development and success of the event the next edition, set to take place 14-17th November 2017, will emerge across two halls, 3.0 and 3.1, as opposed to just 3.1.

The show floor space and the number of exhibitors are not the only things to expand for the 2017 event as the formnext powered by tct conference, organised by Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH and the TCT Group, will be accommodating over 60 presentations across two stages — double the capacity of previous years. Conference attendees will not only have multiple streams to choose from including medical, dental, automotive and heavy industry, but will also be able to gain easy access to other features on the show floor as the conference will be returning to the exhibition hall.
The 2017 conference, set to take place alongside the exhibition, will continue to highlight the latest trends and issues along with current and future cutting-edge manufacturing applications. Industry experts along with high-level keynotes will share their knowledge and expertise along with leading research institutes and academics.
