Comvac 2019 Focus on energy efficiency and predictive maintenance
Comvac will take place again during Hannover Messe from April 1 to 5, 2019. The leading international trade fair for compressed air and vacuum technology, will put individual solutions and industry 4.0 in the limelight.

According to the organizer, Deutsche Messe, there is great demand on the part of exhibitors: Hall 26 has already been fully booked at an early date. Exhibitors at Comvac will therefore also be located in the southern part of neighbouring Hall 25 and on the open-air grounds. According to the organizer, especially companies from China, Germany, and Turkey are contributing to the strong growth.
"We expect Comvac 2019 to grow by 15 % compared to 2017," reports Benjamin Low, Global Director Comvac at Deutsche Messe. “Visitors can look forward to many new developments. For example, high-pressure air makes complex processes in the chemical and petrochemical industries simpler, and power storage plants use compressed air to store power generated by sun and wind." Exhibitors will profit in particular by the synergies created with related drive and fluid technology topics, Low continues.

Industry 4.0 will be the focal topic at Comvac — predictive maintenance, for example, or tailor-made overall solutions such as leasing or billing per unit. Energy and resource efficiency also play an important role. According to the organizer, leading industry players have registered — including Aerzener, Atlas Copco, Boge, Beko, Becker, Gardner Denver, Kaeser, and Leybold.
Compressed air market is growing
According to an analysis conducted by the research company Global Market Insights, the compressed air market will exceed a value of $ 11 billion by 2024. In addition, the analysts expect the cumulative annual growth rate to remain at above 6 %. The market for compressed air is likely to be strongly influenced by rapid industrial expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. For instance, they predict that continuous improvements in China's and India's chemical and pharmaceutical industries will drive growth.
A total of 257 companies participated in Comvac 2017. Around 80 % of the exhibitors came from outside Germany. The fair was attended by 35,000 visitors. Of these visitors, 43 % came from abroad Apart from Comvac in Hanover, Deutsche Messe also organizes trade fairs for compressed air and vacuum technology in Chicago, Shanghai, and Istanbul.
