Kunzmann at the Metav 2018 Flexible, large and still compact machining centre
Editor: Peter Königsreuther
The BA 1100 vertical processing centre, Kunzmann emphasises, is an exceptional and astonishing fair exhibit.
Kunzmann will be presenting the new vertical machining centre BA 1100, which is characterised by high versatility, intuitive operation and a large working area combined with a compact design.

It scores points, we are told, by versatility, simple operation and a large working space within compact overall dimensions. The traversing path is 1100 mm in the X axis and 650 mm in the Z axis. Along the Y axis, with 750 mm, the machine offers the greatest flexibility to date among the currently available processing centres of the 1000 class.
The modularly constructed BA 1100 can be adapted flexibly to production requirements, so Kunzmann. Three alternative main spindle versions, with maximum rotating speeds of 10,000, 14,000 and 18,000 -1, are available, as are SK 40 and HSK 63 tool holders. As standard, there is a 38-compartment tool changer.
Two large front doors allow comfortable access to the working space, we are told, simplifying loading by crane. The comfortable table height and the pivoted operating desk provide good ergonomics.
