In human resource departments, diverse functions such as on-boarding, interacting with employees, impactful learning and tracking employee performance are now being handed over to chatbots. The digitalisation of this process has fast tracked the functioning of HR teams.

Chatbots are artificial intelligence based computer programmes that hold conversations through text or voice messages. Global companies are slowly incorporating chatbots in their businesses to enhance efficiency, accuracy and also to save time of their employees on mundane tasks. The Human Resource (HR) department is one area where the use of chatbots is increasing.

The HR team in any organisation is in-charge of multiple tasks such as training, on-boarding, performance, attendance, employee relations, compensation, benefits and enrolment, and compliance & reporting. Most of these tasks are often repetitive and time consuming. This is where chatbots play an important role.
