Metal construction England: Fill Metallbau sucessfully completed a big project in London

DThe Fill Metallbau Ges.m.b.H with its headquarters in the Upper Austrian city of Hohenzell has completed a demanding reference project in the City of London In Westminster Bridge Road, in immediate vicinity of Big Ben, a 18 story building was built with more than 1000 student apartments in the recent months.

According to their own statement Fill delivered bands of windows, post and beam facades and element facades of about 14,000 m² and another 9000 m² aluminium covers for the 66 m building. “We were able to implement our work to the complete satisfaction of our British customers. That is why we are already in talks with this investor for follow-up projects”, says Ernst Baumberger, member of the executive board at Fill. The Westminster Bridge Road project has thus proved to be a door opener for other orders in the UK.

The UK is becoming increasingly important for Fill Metallbau

The growing importance of the UK as a future market was taken into account by Fill when it built its own branch: Since the beginning of 2015 there is a new foothold with Fill UK and a contact point on the site.

Apart from the increased engagement on both sides of the English channel, especially Germany and naturally Austria remain the key markets of special importance for Fill, says the report. Several big projects are implemented even here at present, mainly in Vienna and Salzburg.

The order books at Fill Metallbau are well filled

Consequently the order books at Fill Metallbau are well filled: The current incoming orders comprise a volume of about 25 million Euros according to a report. It mainly involves projects in Austria, Germany and the UK. “Moreover we are now in negotiations for a series of further projects, mainly for renowned international architects in the total volume of about 30 million Euros”, reports Baumberger.

The good order situation brings more jobs: The number of employees must be raised according to the statement. At present employees in technical fields like planning and construction are wanted. Good English skills and the willingness to complete orders abroad are particularly sought after.
