The ‘must visit’ trade exhibition for the plastics processing industry will be showcasing many new innovations and solutions in order to meet the growing demands of this growing industry. Organised by P. E. Schall, this year’s show is expected to host more than 1,800 exhibitors.

The global exhibition for the plastics processing industry is back and how! With the rising demand of plastics in the European region, the market scenario for the plastics processing industry is poised quite well. It will be no surprise then that Fakuma 2018 will be jam packed. Ranked among the top three leading international trade fairs for the plastics segment, the show is expected to be held from October 16–20, 2018 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

Impressive footfalls

The event aims at being a ‘one stop’ platform for visitors to view the latest cutting edge technologies, processes as well as tools in the plastics processing industry. Right from injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming and 3D printing, Fakuma has it all! Organised by P. E. Schall, the last edition of the show witnessed the presence of about 1,889 exhibitors from 783 foreign countries along with 38 participating countries. It also saw a footfall of around 48,375 and this year is not going to be any different in fact it may be even better.

With an impressive number of exhibitors i.e. 1,800 plus till date, this year's exhibition will also be the ideal place for industry players to interact and also discuss potential business deals with each other. Some of the biggies of the industry participating at Fakuma 2018 include BASF, Dow, ExxonMobil, Fanuc, Linde, and many more. The event will also be hosting numerous forums, workshops as well as special shows. 41 technical sessions for the benefit of the visitors have been announced.

Fanuc's main issues and themes

To make it convenient for visitors to spot their desired exhibitor booths according to their respective primary groups and product groups, the Fakuma website offers a ‘Nomenclature’ segment. Comprising diverse groups such as machines, equipment, peripherals, tools and accessories; finished and semi-finished products; or raw and auxiliary materials this section brings suppliers and users of plastics processing together in a focussed direction regarding specific issues and applications. The nomenclature is also kept up to date by the organiser of the trade show, P. E. Schall & Co in teamwork with specialised experts from the industry sector.

Vital pointers for Fanuc visitors

In terms of show timings, visitors can visit Fakuma 2018 between 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM from Tuesday to Friday and 09:00 AM – 03:00 PM on Saturday. Prices of the show tickets have also been finalised, a one-day-ticket costs 28,00 € while a two-day-ticket costs 47,00 €.

The next edition of Fakuma is scheduled to be held from October 13–17, 2020 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
