Kunzmann Maschinenbau Drilling or Milling with Additional Option
Editor: Peter Königsreuther
Universally usable and easy to operate – that is the WF 610 MC, Kunzmann tells us.
With the WF 610 MC from Kunzmann both milling and drilling works, they say. In addition, the operator can switch between CNC mode and manual operation by means of a key switch.

Both milling and drilling are possible with it, the firm adds. In addition, the operator can change quickly between handwheel and CNC control. Here the user is helped by TNC 620 path control from Heidenhain, with a touchscreen leading through programming on an easily understood dialogue basis.
Operation is as with a smart phone, Kunzmann says. Graphics and views can be enlarged intuitively with two fingers, rotated, and repositioned in the display. If sequences have to be input, the control system helps using pop-up guide texts and images. In addition, the operator is supported by a large selection of pre-programmed cycles, the firm informs us. The three axes, according to the data sheet, provide traversing paths of 610 (X), 400 (Y) and 450 mm (Z). The robust construction of the machine and the high-torque main drive, with a maximum power of 11 kW, is also said to enable processing of difficult-to-machine materials.
