Haimer, a specialist for tool shrink-fit and balancing technology, is relying on Duo-Lock technology in its new collet chucks. This stands for a patented modular interface for solid carbide toolheads: thanks to a special thread design with double column, says the firm, great stability and resilience is provided. Due to the good system and dimensional repeatability, Duo-Lock HM toolheads can also be replaced on the machine. With their monobloc construction, we hear, these collet chucks achieve better stability and concentricity.

As a result of the higher system accuracy, these collet chucks are also said to be suitable for use in tool revolvers on turning machines. Duo-Lock collet chucks are highly suitable not only as conventional ER clamping chucks for milling, but also for driven tools and rotary transfer machines.
