Headquartered in Japan, DMG MORI is one of the global leaders of machine tools. The company is known for its innovative and out-of-the-box technologies which enhance production processes. At CIMES (China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition) the firm is showcasing these innovations. Some of DMG MORI’s recent technologies will be elaborated below:

Mighty Matris

The programming-free new robot system is a unique and easy to access robot system prominently known as Module Automation Transfer Robot Intelligence System aka Matris. One of the major perks of this innovative system is that one does not require any proficiency in robot operations or even programming for that matter. The modularized peripherals showcase an interesting aspect by ensuring the quickest installation, setup and even layout retrofit of Matris.

The core features of the Module Automation Transfer Robot Intelligence System comprise modularisation, operability, packaged functions, applicable models and customer support. The robot system can reduce the installation lead time by 80 % with the help of the modularisation feature. In terms of operability, the system is installed with a dedicated control system – MAPPS connected to connect robots, peripherals and machines which makes it easy to set it up and maintain.

Second generation NTX 2000, 2500, 3000

Supported with the high-performance spindle MASTER Series, the firm’s second generation models of the ‘NTX’ series, aptly called NTX 2000, 2500 and 3000, are integrated millturn centers that are equipped with more variations of specifications than their former series. Advantageous to the aircraft, medical equipment and die & mold industries, the new series is now available with a high-performance spindle turnMASTER that can be used for turning applications. In addition to this, the millturn centers are also equipped with a 350 mm long tool spindle compactMASTER that ensures overwhelming cutting capabilities.

The new series is competent to offer continuous 5-axis machining of complex-shaped workpieces and also comes installed with an innovative chip disposal, which is often an area of concern for customers on the shop floor. Some of the highlights of the second generation NTX 2000, 2500 and 3000 include high-performance spindle and turret; chip disposal solution’; high accuracy and rigidity; workability and maintainability and automation systems.

With these contemporary technologies, DMG MORI's booth at CIMES 2018 will surely be one of the highlights for visitors of the fair.
