An insight into the company’s latest innovations that will be showcased at the German-based grinding technology show – GrindTec 2018.
Danobat is one of the leading companies that manufacture grinding machines. The company is all set to exhibit at the International trade fair for grinding technology – GrindTec 2018 that is scheduled to be held from March 14–17 in Ausgburg, Germany. The company will be showcasing a diverse range of products including technologically advanced grinding machines, a hard turning lathe that achieves grinding precisions and its latest in-house technological developments that are based on industry 4.0 concepts.
The ESTARTA-650 is a high-speed centreless grinding machine that is designed to maximise production and significantly improve the cycle time. The machine offers high precision, a 30 per cent rise in productivity and great rigidity. This development can achieve 120 metres per second in throughfeed minimising the generation of vibrations. Working at great speeds with maximum vibration absorption is a key feature for successfully carrying out highly demanding grinding processes. The grinding machine is fitted with linear motors, a granite bed, a drive head fitted with an additional support that does away with the cantilever, and a novel damping system.
LT-400 – high-precision turning machine
The LT-400 is a high-precision turning machine for hard turning and is also capable of grinding. Thus, the client can achieve maximum quality results with great flexibility and adaptability. The machine adjusts perfectly to the demands of short-run manufacturers, who are required to frequently modify the type of parts they manufacture, but who request the precision of the grinding technology. A granite bed offering thermal stability and greater vibration damping has also been added to ensure that the machine adapts to the manufacturers’ different runs and provide supreme quality.
IRD-400 – grinding solution for machining dies and moulds
The IRD-400 is a grinding solution that is especially designed for machining dies and moulds and offers internal, external, surface and radius grinding. The technology provides maximum productivity and precision results for pieces with high geometric complexity. Further, the grinding machine achieves very accurate finishes owing to its B0 axis which swivels up to 91 degrees. Axis control means complex internal shapes can be made using one single wheel and in one contour line, thus maximising productivity. With this model, the 4-spindle turret includes a measuring probe integrated in the software with which the starting position of the workpiece can be detected. This ensures that, on the final finishing run, the system reaches the required measurement with precision. In round contours, roundness deviations of 0.5 µm can be reached.
