Country of trade fair Czech Republic Czech Republic: Trade Fair Exhibitors cannot beat BRNO
Whether industry- or consumer goods fairs – companies, which want to present in Czech Republic, reach the fair place Brno sooner or later. The other event locations in Prag and Ostrava are significantly smaller; however, Prag at least has something interesting to offer for the German manufacturing companies.
In its own terms, Brno Exhibition Center (BVV Veletrhy Brno) is actually the main trade fair organiser of East-Central Europe. Currently, more than 130,000 m² net exhibition area is provided there. The area inaugurated in 1928 ia also an example of functionalist architecture.
Approximately 50 trade fairs in Brno per year
The exhibition centre hall P inaugurated in June 2015 belongs to the modernest objects of Exhibition Centre with a net exhibition area of more than 10,000m². The trade fair organisation shares are distributed as follows: 61 % to Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, 34 % to the city Brno and 5 % to small shareholders. However, the city has agreed upon with Messe Düsseldorf to transfer its shares, as reported by the investment sponsorer Czechinvest.
Every year, approximately 50 trade fairs are organized at the Brno Exhibition Centre and these are visited by more than one million visitors every year. International Engineering Trade Fair MSV has the longest tradition with the 57th fair organized in 2015; this is also the most significant Engineering Trade Fair in East Europe. According to the organizers, more than 1500 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors participate in it. The offer is widely diversified: From fittings via mining equipment, electronic and electrical enginerring, semi-furnished products or plastic machines up to metal processing tools, assembly technology, motors, pumps or control technology; almost everything is represented in the new product range, what is required in a factory.
