One of the largest global events for the sheet metal working industry, Euroblech is expected to be held from October 23–26, 2018 in Hannover in Germany. The mammoth show will be held on an area of more than 89,000 sq m and will host around 1,550 exhibitors from 40 different countries; some of the major country pavilions will include Germany, Italy, Turkey, China, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and the USA.

The pulse of the times: Euroblech focuses on digitisation
The motto for the 25th edition of the International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition is ‘Step into the digital reality’. The idea behind finalising this motto is in line with the current industry trends of ‘digitalisation’ and the show aims to make industry players, especially medium and small players, comfortable with the implementation of digitalisation in their processes.
Numerous technologies and solutions will be displayed at the event that will guide visitors towards this digital theme. Euroblech will also act as a great platform for all types of industry players to source diverse manufacturing solutions for the sheet metal working sector.
Conferences and seminars
This year, the trade fair will be organising two vital seminars that will focus on the most contemporary developments and trending topics in the sheet metal working industry. Both the sessions will be held in German by experts from the field. The first seminar will take place on October 23, 2018 and is titled ‘Digital Process Chain 3D Printing - Blockchain, Data & Law’. The session will highlight diverse topics such as 3D printing in the sheet metal working industry, digital process chain, block chain applications, Industry 4.0 and integration into business processes, and industrial and intellectual property rights.

The second is a practical seminar called ‘3D Metal Printing - Costs, Benefits and Efficiency’ and will be held on October 24, 2018. The session will discuss various topics, including 3D printing of metals: Costs, benefits and efficiency are examined here, and answers are given to questions as to how an implementation of additive manufacturing can be organised. In addition, calculation and practical examples with prices are given.
