Held every two years, the show is considered to be the third largest annual event of its kind, following the EMO and the IMTS event. This year, the trade fair is back with many innovative technologies.

The countdown to one of the largest machine tool events in the world has already begun! The 14th edition of the China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition (CIMES) is all set to take place from June 26–30, 2018 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, China. Organised by the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), China National Machinery Industry International Co. (SINOMACHINT) and the China National Machine Tool Corporation (CNMTC), the trade fair will be held in an area of 120,000 square meters.

The show will also showcase more than 2,300 main bodies of machine tools, about 10,000 measuring and cutting tools, various functional units of numerical control systems along with numerous innovations for automatic and intelligent factories in today’s ‘Industry 4.0’ scenario. The mega show claims to be host to around 1,300 exhibitors from 29 countries and boasts of 32 national pavilions. With an expected footfall of about 160,000, the organizers are keen to make this year’s event better than the previous editions.

Onsite programmes

The China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition will be organising a dedicated section called the ‘VIP Targeted Attendee Programme’ for the benefit of industry players. Here exhibitors and visitors can interact with each other and also discuss their purchase plans with the market leaders. Apart from trade, visitors can also access this space to gain expert technical advice on the latest technologies in the market. This segment further encourages enhancement of business opportunities.
