Ceratizit has introduced numerous solutions that will prove to be beneficial to diverse sectors.

Online configurator for hob blanks
The new online configurator was launched for individual hob blanks from Hard Material Solutions. The system comprises an automated ordering feature through which customers can configure and order carbide hob blanks from the E-Techstore online shop. It designs the most suitable blank for any application in a fully automated way, and generates an offer according to the customer’s terms and conditions. Thanks to the memory function of the configurator the order can be placed either immediately or at a later time.
The system is user friendly, flexible and quick. The customer only has to enter the finished dimensions of the hob he wants, to receive an instant offer for a suitable blank. 2D visualisation, displaying the dimensions submitted, enables customers to check the data and compare it with their original enquiry. Post the order, the software automatically prepares the routing, the bill of materials and a 3D model including a 2D drawing of the blank. Owing to this, production of the individual blank can also be initiated just a few moments after the order has been placed.
MaxiMill HFC 19 – high-feed milling
Cutting solutions by Ceratizit has upgraded its existing HFC system with a size 19 indexable insert. The latest HFC 19 high-feed milling system now enables up to 83 % higher cutting depths and feeds that are up to 150 % higher. The solution proves ideal for achieving maximum chip removal rates and is considered to be the ultimate in process security.
Phenomenal material removal rates that chip fans can only dream of are achieved with a width of cut of ap 3.3 mm and maximum feeds per tooth. Optimum chip evacuation can also be achieved thanks to optimised chip gullets, ensuring robust and safe application. Moreover, cutting forces are exerted primarily in the axial direction, minimising vibration and reducing stress on the spindle, even with long tool overhangs.
The new Blackstar and Silverstar coated XOLX 19 indexable inserts also feature a patented, rectangular geometry with a large radius and impress with nickel-plated tool holders, high rigidity and soft cutting capability. These permit maximum feeds that redefine the term ‘roughing’.
