Product overview Bystronic’s futuristic technologies
The ByTrans Cross 4020, the BySprint Fiber 12020 and the Xact Smart are the latest product innovations unveiled by Bystronic. Its unique features and advantages give the firm an edge over its competitors.
This year, Bystronic will be exhibiting its latest product launches at the China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition (CIMES) that will be held from June 26–30, 2018 in China. Offering superior quality solutions for the sheet metal processing industry, Bystronic is known for providing automation solutions for the complete material and data flow of the cutting and bending process chain. The company’s vast product line-up includes laser cutting systems, press brakes, and associated automation and software solutions.
ByTrans Cross 4020
The company has recently come up with the ByTrans Cross 4020, an upgrade to the firm’s existing ByStar Fiber laser cutting system. The new product is an automation solution for fiber laser cutting and is designed with a unique loading and unloading solution which can process large metal sheets as large as 4 by 2 sheets. The machine is quick, versatile and takes only about 75 seconds to set up and unload the cutting table.
To manage the material flow in a better way, the product can be incorporated between the laser cutting system and the warehouse. It can also be used as a single solution to provide the laser cutting system with raw metal sheets in various thicknesses and materials. In case there is a need for manual loading of the laser cutting system, this is also possible.
Equipped with two loading carriages, it comes handy to store raw materials when used as a stand-alone solution. To enhance functionality, there is also the option to incorporate carts for unloading the completed cut parts.
BySprint Fiber 12020
Another innovation added to the existing list is the upgradation of the BySprint Fiber laser cutting system with the 12020 extra-large format which enhances laser cutting productivity. Capable of seamlessly integrating with the Fiber 3000, 4000, or 6000 laser sources, the new machine can process metal sheets up to a length of 12 meters. With the incorporation of Apropos, the BySoft 7 process software, the machine ensures increased productivity and efficiency.
One of the interesting aspects of the BySprint Fiber 12020 format is its new extra-large format that helps one to carry out a variety of cutting applications on the machine such as cutting of large as well as small parts without interrupting the machine’s laser cutting process. The ‘BySprint Fiber’ series is also available in the following formats – 8020, 6520, 4020 and 3015.
As the name suggests, this is a smart press brake comprising Swiss bending technology. Superior quality and cost-effective parts can be produced with Xact Smart. Offering tremendous versatility and an increase in the speed of bending, the press brake also features numerous other functions including the insert extension and stroke length expansion which prove beneficial for sheet metal processing companies that are pressed for time.
The insert extension and stroke length expansion extends the basic version’s 480 mm insert height for bending tools to 580 mm. 100 mm more space means as much as a 30 % increase in flexibility. Hence, users can now produce parts with lower bending edges. Inclusion of a new five-axis backgauge is also an added feature of Xact Smart. It is faster and at the same time increases the speed of the bending sequences. Through this, users can also bend complex 3D parts.
With its state-of-the-art innovations, the firm is determined to stay ahead of its competitors by following the latest automation trends of the machine tool industry.
