The company will be demonstrating its latest innovation, bMotion at the upcoming automation exhibition. Through this platform, Bühler Motor aims to provide visitors with an insight into its range of specialised solutions.

bMotion

bMotion is an innovative platform of DC motors, gear boxes, brakes and encoders. Equipped with numerous predefined variants, the drive platform is highly modular in nature and easy-to-combine. New as well as existing customers can also access pre-validated and market specific combinations that are incorporated within the bMotion product line. Adding to this, the drive solution is based on the configure-to-order concept which means that the solution can be configured as per the requirements of each customer. This significant advantage leads to reduction in the customer’s development and implementation timing along with the costs. Customisation is also possible with the assistance of the new solutions to develop windings, pinions as well as special shaft length, EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) suppression and temperature sensors.

Bühler has also changed over to a digital order management system. Adoption of this digital system enabled efficient and speedy processing of orders, thus creating a production environment that is resourceful. With the help of this new system, lot sizes down to 200 pieces can be handled. By incorporating the bMotion drive platform in the production process, one can ensure full traceability of materials, process values, and motor performance data.
